We picked up Emma from the airport on Sunday. It sounded like she had a fabulous time in London. As soon as she saw Tom on Sunday evening - he PROPOSED! (On one knee with a beautiful ring) Very exciting. He actually called David on Saturday to ask his permision (very sweet and old fashioned) so we were expecting a call from her.
She wants to finish school first - which is a good thing - but she'll be done in December, so we'll see what happens.
David and I are very happy for both of them. Tom is a great guy, and Emma is a wonderful young woman, so it's awesome that they are making it 'official'. (Along wtih dogs, cat, etc :) )
I can't wait for Emma to start thinking about her plans. (And hopefully sharing some of them with her mother! )
